You're a Goddess.
Dang, I'm so excited for your session, it's going to be amazing and I promise you'll leave feeling like a goddess!
There can be a lot of stress getting ready for a Boudoir session and I'm hoping this little blog will help to take some of that away.
Skin
I love a good tan as much as anyone and I know a lot of you feel better when you're bronzed. First, if it's in the cooler months and you're wanting to get a spray tan, by all means do it! However, the morning of your shoot is not the time. I recommend at least 48 hours before your scheduled session to book a spray tan. Bronzd Bliss is absolutely amazing and she'll walk you through everything you need to do to make sure you get the best color.
I've also linked my favorite self tanner below as well.
You're also going to want to make sure you lotion up and hydrate. If your skin is prone to dryness like mine, a little extra hydration goes a long way. Water alone will help give your skin a glow.
What do I wear?
I love lingerie and I love pretty lingerie! Bring 2-3 items you feel sexy in, Solids such as white, black and cream photograph really well, but I also love colors. If you have a veil or lace robe that's perfect too. Your partner's button down shirt is another great option, just stay away from very small patterns. I'll link a few of my favorite stores at the end of this blog. If you're not sure, you can always bring a few extra options the day of and I'll help you narrow it down.
Accessorize with a sexy pair of heels. Example, your wedding shoes or a pair of designer shoes that just make you feel amazing when you put them on. Feel free to add some jewelry or even stockings if you like.
I highly recommend trying on your outfits before you arrive. Once you've picked everything make sure that you remove ALL tags (yes even the permanent ones).
Hair, Nails and Makeup
I will have a professional make-up artist on site so you'll have one less thing to worry about there. Your hair can be done in whatever style makes you feel most beautiful. I will have your play with your hair some so whatever you plan, know you might mess it up a bit.
Nails, A manicure and pedicure should be scheduled 1-2 days before the shoot. Just choose neutral colors for the best look.
The day of the Session.
Arrive with a clean and moisturized face. Moisturize your entire body. You can even bring lotion with you if you think you'll need some between outfit changes.
Wear loose clothing that you can easily get off without smearing your makeup. You also want to avoid anything that might make impressions on the skin.
Arrive early. This will give you time to relax and maybe have a mimosa before your session.
