A few styling tips from your photographer.

It's your senior year!

You've scheduled your pictures and now you're wondering, "what do I wear?" Here's a few of my tips and some links to my favorite stores below.

Pick outfits that you feel great in!

Confidence shows! If you don't like the way you look in something it will show in your pictures. In order to get the absolute best images, pick outfits that make you feel confident, beautiful and that you think outline your best features.

What colors do I wear?

Consider neutral colors such as black, white and cream, muted colors such as blush, lilac, pale blue or vibrant bold colors for your wardrobe ( I love hot pink and yellow). Solid colors are great and some patterns can really bring out your personality. However, I usually recommend staying away from very small patterns.

Below are a few ideas for girls and guys! Some of my favorite stores are linked at the bottom of this post.

How many outfits do I pick?

Most sessions come with unlimited outfit changes so you can bring as many as you can fit in. My recommendation is to pick one dressier outfit (dress for girls, button up shirt for guys), one casual outfit (jeans or shorts and a cute top for girls, jeans and a t-shirt for guys). If you are a sports player or band member bring along an outfit that highlights your interests or sports you play (a letter jacket, your jersey, instrament, football, basketball, soccer etc.).

Accessories

Think about things that will bring your outfit to life for you. A hat, a cute pair of shoes (in most cases stay away from patterned shoes if your have an outfit also has a pattern) , sunglasses, cowboy boots. As long as the accessory tells me a little about you and your personality, it's a great idea!

I hope these tips help! As always I'm here to help you. If you are having trouble deciding feel free to text or email me ahead of your session or, bring the extra outfits to your session and we can pick and choose there. Lastly, If you want to borrow something out of my client closet, just let me know.
